
Meet the IMP Registry Team
The registry is managed by a Steering Committee made up of stakeholders involved in diagnosing and managing intramural pregnancies, as well as individuals with personal experience or who advocate for affected patients. The committee is responsible for overseeing the registry and ensuring it stays focused on its core purpose.

Dr Simrit Nijjar
is a clinical research fellow in Gynaecology at University College London Hospital, UK and is registered for a PhD at UCL. The focus of her PhD is the diagnosis and management of uterine ectopic pregnancies, with a particular interest in intramural pregnancies and caesarean scar ectopic pregnancies.

Munira Oza
is the Director of The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust and has lived experience of ectopic pregnancy. She provides the patient's perspective through hearing many personal stories of ectopic pregnancy. She has assisted with other key research projects on ectopic pregnancy such as the Core Outcome Set for Future Research in Ectopic Pregnancy and the Priority Setting Partnership for Ectopic Pregnancy.

Miss Cecilia Bottomley
is a Consultant Gynaecologist at University College London Hospital and Honorary Associate Professor at University College London, UK. Her MD research focused on ultrasound scan and the prediction of pregnancy loss and she has published a large number of scientific papers in this field. She is also a medical adviser for the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust.

Prof Davor Jurkovic
is a consultant Gynaecologist and Director of Gynaecology Diagnostic and Outpatient Treatment Unit at University College London Hospital, UK. He is an internationally recognised expert in gynaecological ultrasound and is particularly well known for his work on the diagnosis and treatment of rare and complex forms of ectopic pregnancy, including intramural pregnancies and caesarean scar ectopic pregnancies.

Ms S
brings a unique and powerful perspective, having experienced and recovered from intramural pregnancy twice. Motivated by her personal journey, she is committed to supporting and empowering others facing similar challenges. Her insight helps ensure that the patient voice remains central to both the development and ongoing work of the Intramural Pregnancy Registry.

Dr Andrea Woolner
is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Aberdeen and Honorary Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in NHS Grampian, Aberdeen. Her research is focussed on preconception health, adverse pregnancy outcomes including preterm birth and pregnancy loss at any gestation. Her PhD investigated inherited predisposition to early and late pregnancy loss. She is currently Chief Investigator on research grants funded by Chief Scientist Office Scotland, NIHR and Tommy's UK.
